About 10 to 12 miles from downtown Colorado Springs, close to the United States Air Force Academy is the city of Briargate.

On a typical weekday or weekend, it should take drivers about the same time to reach downtown, even during the typical rush hours in the morning and evening on a weekday. The fastest time someone may reach downtown Colorado Springs is about 14 minutes, with drive times reaching up to 40 minutes, depending on the route.

Those who do not wish to drive may opt to take the train for a longer commute of about 34 minutes.

Downtown Colorado Springs from Northgate

Those commuting from Northgate to downtown Colorado Springs have one straight route to take, via the I-25 S for 13.5 miles.

During a weekday morning, this commute will typically take 14 to 22 minutes during rush hour, whereas an evening commute on a weekday may take up to 26 minutes at most. On the weekend, the drive will most likely take anywhere from 14 to 24 minutes.

Downtown Colorado Springs from Old Colorado City

Old Colorado City is one of the closest cities on this list to downtown Colorado Springs. Located about 2.5 miles west, drivers can reach downtown in as little as 5 minutes. Driving via the I-25 N is typically a 12- to 18-minute drive, whereas it'll take about 16 to 26 minutes via Canam Highway and East Las Vegas Street, or 14 to 24 minutes via Hancock Expy and I-25 North. About 4 miles from downtown is Southeast Colorado Springs. It will take about 7 to 16 minutes to reach downtown from Southeast Colorado Springs on a weekday or weekend morning or evening commute, no matter which route one takes:

  • Via I-25 North
  • Via East Las Vegas Street Wahsatch Avenue

Driving from West Colorado Springs to downtown in the morning will take about 12 to 20 minutes, depending on the route chosen.
