We are in the middle of summer, which means real estate sales should be kicking into high gear...except we are seeing a meaningful shift in the market. If you’ve been sitting on the sidelines wondering when the right time to buy is, it just may be now. Check out the reasons why:
1. More Room to Negotiate: Right now, there are way more homes on the market than buyers currently looking, which means we are in a long awaited buyer's market. Sellers who truly want to sell are willing to negotiate a fair price, seller concessions, earnest money, potential repairs, contingent sales, and more. Buyers have so many options, and sellers are taking notice!
2. More Inventory: New listings continue to increase week after week, while homes aren't selling at the same pace, which means buyers have a lot of homes to look at. Your perfect home is likely out there, and you have plenty of time to schedule a showing!
3. More Sellers Wanting to Sell vs Rent: With newer state laws that greatly favor tenants' rights over homeowner rights, many sellers are not willing to rent their property out as a "plan B". Sellers want to sell!
